Different Faith Beliefs
Muslims and Christians disagree as to how people should relate to God. Both Islam and Christianity call for people to accept “by faith” what they assert has been revealed by God. There is no disagreement about the need for faith. There is vast disagreement, however, when it comes to what has been revealed. The claims to divine truth rival each other.
Islam contends that the ultimate truth was revealed by Allah to Muhammad. They strongly content that the Bible in present form is corrupt and that only the Koran contains the true divine message.
Christians contend that the ultimate truth was evident in the life of Jesus Christ, who said of Himself, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” (John 14:6) Jesus revealed God’s truth by His life as the incarnate Son (full expression) of God.
